City of Lodi Groundwater Contamination

Treadwell & Rollo is the City of Lodi’s Environmental Consultant for assessing and remediating groundwater contamination. The City’s groundwater was contaminated by releases of PCE, TCE, and other chemicals from numerous former dry cleaning operations and industrial sites. 

Treadwell & Rollo has represented the City in mediation with state regulators and potentially responsible parties, performed indoor air monitoring, collected deep soil and groundwater samples, characterized the extent of contamination, performed pilot testing of groundwater remedial alternatives, and installed a groundwater monitoring system.  As part of developing the groundwater remediation program, we developed a City-wide groundwater flow and transport model to assess the interaction of several contaminant plumes and potential remediation approaches.

We are currently designing a remediation program for the most seriously impacted area that will include both soil and groundwater remediation of a major source area.
