Burbank Lockheed Plant Litigation Support for TCE/PCE Impacts

Treadwell & Rollo provided litigation support for a major class-action lawsuit for citizens of the City of Burbank, developing the technical strategy for determining impacts from Lockheed plants to soil, groundwater, air quality, and the drinking water supply.  We worked closely with an air quality modeler to analyze inhalation health risks and with a water distribution modeler to analyze TCE and PCE concentrations in homes. 

We compiled data, identified contamination sources, and calculated TCE and PCE concentrations in groundwater, as well as estimating TCE and PCE impacting nearby drinking water wells.  We provided key expert testimony regarding the sources and fate of TCE and PCE.  The Federal Court judge scrutinized our approach within the gatekeeping system for legal evidence and accepted both our approach and results in support of our client.
