Treadwell & Rollo performed a geotechnical investigation to evaluate subsurface conditions at the site and provided geotechnical recommendations for this six-story laboratory and research facility.  We provided recommendations for pile foundations and production pile driving. In addition, our engineers observed installation of indicator and production piles.

As the environmental remediation design consultant for Gladstone, Treadwell & Rollo prepared drawings and specifications for a methane ventilation system to mitigate the accumulation of methane gas.  The system includes perforated pipes in a gravel layer beneath the building slab to collect methane.  The pipes are centrally connected to a riser pipe capped by a wind turbine, which provides a vacuum for venting accumulated methane outside the building.   We assisted Gladstone in observing system installation and preparing a venting system operation and maintenance plan.
