Shoreline Parks NP3-NP5 in Mission Bay was developed with several new structures, including a maintenance building, a kayak storage facility, and pedestrian bridges that cross over a drainage swale.  Other park elements include a boat launch pier, sports courts, and a dog park.

During our geotechnical investigation, we evaluated seismic hazards and slope stability.  Treadwell & Rollo needed to consider specific site issues,  including the potential for liquefaction and consolidation settlement of Bay Mud.  The site buildings are supported on mat foundations and the dock is supported on driven piles.

During construction, Treadwell & Rollo provided observation services.  Our team was present during the installation of piles, preparation of mat subgrade, and compaction of fill and utility trench backfill.  In addition, we oversaw the subgrade preparation for the sports courts and flatwork.
