Treadwell & Rollo, Inc. performed a geotechnical investigation for shoreline park(s) NP1-NP2 in Mission Bay. Park development includes a pile-supported, water overlook structure, hinged slab walkways, and geofoam landforms. Other features include concrete flatwork, paver sections, shoreline slope stabilization as well as mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) retaining wall and light poles.
Our engineers evaluated settlement and seismic hazards, including liquefaction potential and slope stability. We provided recommendations for driven piles, retaining walls, and paver sections. In addition, we addressed placement of fill and geofoam as well as subgrade preparation for pavements.
Throughout construction we provided observation services, including observation of pile driving, placement of geofoam, site grading, subgrade preparation, and installation of the MSE wall.
