Treadwell & Rollo performed Phase I and Phase II environmental investigations for Ohlone Community College, an 80-acre former agriculture site. Our team provided an evaluation of soil, groundwater and air quality. We also performed a master plan and design-level geologic hazard evaluation and geotechnical investigation. Investigations complied with the California Building Code for California Community Colleges, the Division of the State Architect for school projects, and the California Geologic Survey for California Public Schools.
The environmental work identified pesticides exceeding California Department of Toxic Substance Control guidelines and Treadwell & Rollo assisted in negotiating a cleanup agreement. We prepared a Removal Action Workplan, Risk Assessment, Brownfields Work Plan, and a Quality Assurance Project Plan. We also assisted in obtaining a USEPA Brownfields grant for the site, one of only two grants awarded nationwide in 2004.
