Treadwell & Rollo is providing environmental and geotechnical services for a four-city block, mixed-use development project constructed through a joint effort by Forest City Development and the Oakland Redevelopment Agency. This project includes 665 residential units, as part of Mayor Jerry Brown’s 10K Oakland Downtown Residential Plan.
Treadwell & Rollo’s geotechnical services included providing input for foundation and shoring design alternatives, and observation and testing during installation, site grading and fill placement. The site had a former underground gasoline storage tank release and residual chemicals in soil and groundwater.
Our environmental services included developing a combined Remedial Action Plan/Risk Management Plan for the development-based construction activities as well as design and observation of a membrane-based vapor barrier installation to mitigate potential indoor air vapor intrusion.
