Port of Oakland As-Needed Environmental Consulting
- Client: Port of Oakland
- Location: Oakland, California
- Project Managers: Grover S. Buhr and Gregory Johnson
- Principal-in-Charge: Jeffrey F. Ludlow
Treadwell & Rollo performed on-call environmental consulting services for the Port of Oakland, which owns the fourth-largest maritime cargo facility in the nation, Oakland International Airport, and extensive redevelopment properties. Our mission was to support the modernization and operation of Port facilities to achieve their business objectives while protecting environmental resources and minimizing the impact of contamination on construction activities.
Our services included historical site use investigations, soil and groundwater quality investigations, facility audits, human health and environmental risk assessments, and remedial system design and installation oversight.
Field work was typically performed on heavily trafficked facilities and construction sites. Services included the design of methane barrier and free product recovery systems, Port UST database support, and identification of pavement-related contamination issues for a terminal construction project.
