I have always been drawn to the unknown. 
John enjoys both the stimulating challenges of geotechnical work as well as working within an environment that feels like a close-knit family. As Geotechnical Group Manager at Treadwell & Rollo's San Jose office, John provides geotechnical engineering for projects such as mid- and high-rise buildings, bridges and commercial and residential structures. Other projects range from landfills and reservoirs, to levees and embankments.
John is also responsible for construction observation, engineering analysis, and technical management for projects involving driven and drilled pile foundations, drilled pier foundations, mat foundations, earthwork, and deep excavations. In addition, John has provided consultation regarding surcharge programs, including the construction phase.
John has extensive experience performing ground motion studies for hospitals and school projects requiring approval by the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) and the California Geologic Survey (CGS). He has also performed numerous probabilistic seismic hazard and deterministic analyses to develop site-specific response spectra for other types of projects.
